Knitting for Two by Erika Knight (September 2004)
The projects in this book looked cute and were photographed beautifully but the pictures seem to be the deceiving kind. The ones that hide the fatal flaw in the project. All fluff with no meat. I mean a close-up of a babies face is cute but if the details of the sweater are blurred then what the hell! Isn't the sweater the purpose of the book!?!! And this is compounded by the fact that none of the patterns have schematics with dimensions. I hate that, especially in sweater sizing. And all the yarns are Rowan or Jaeger.
So give it a gander. It has cute things and heck, maybe the patterns are OK. I am just too annoyed with all the details they didn't get right to be bothered.
So many books have photos of projects that look good, but are bad for needlework and no diagrams.
When will they learn?
Again thanks for your honest reviews. I did get Hollywood Knits Style that you reviewed a while back from the library. She (Suss Cousins) does go on and on with the name dropping, and hopefully, there not as many errors in this book as in her a first one, but I'm a more experienced knitter now, and some of the patterns are cute.

I hate that in knitting books. Of course they're meant to be artsy, but on the instructions pages I'd expect at least a front and back to show the finished knit flat. Gah.

The blurry photos are "artistic". I can't stand it when they do that, too. I think if they have artistic ones, they need to have some clear, detailed close-up shots, IMHO.

All of the patterns are maternity? Could they be altered for non-preggers people? I like that tie front cardigan on the front... but alas, I am not pregnant! (no time soon!)
